As an employer, you're required by law to protect your employees, and others, from harm.
You must:
Identify what could cause injury or illness in your business (hazards)
Decide how likely it is that someone could be harmed and how seriously (the risk)
Take action to eliminate the hazard, or if this isn't possible, control the risk

Some accidents may become reportable under RIDDOR regulations. Where an employee has 7 or more days absence following and accident or the injury was a specified injury under the regulation .
You only have a certain amount of time to do this

As an employer you have a legal duty to ensure vibration remains ALARP (as low as reasonably practicable) this is different to other risk assessments where you need to go 'So far as reasonably practicable'
You have specific duties in the Control of Vibration Regulations
Hand Arm vibration syndrome is a reportable disease under RIDDOR and can cause irreversible damage to employees

Similar to Vibration, employers have a duty to ensure that employees exposure to noise levels above the specified values are protected and remain ALARP.
Dangerous exposure to high noise levels can cause permanent hearing damage including tinnitus and hearing loss
